Late Summer Heat wave !

Sanibel

Fishing report for the week ending 10/11/09 AFter a brief cool spell we are getting record heat that slows our normal fall fishing down. Water temps that had cooled off a bit have come back up a few degrees making snook sluggish at times during the day. There are tons of baitfish in the bay making you wonder why would anything bite your bait at times but all you need to do is find the bait and there will be fish there. Redfish are schooling in the sound and snook are making there way back to the river and the bay from the beaches. I am seeing some bigger trout showing up near the passes in the grass IN 3-5 FT of water. Spanish mackeral, bluefish and a few pompano are also with them. If we get a shot of the weather that is up north things should take off this next week. Get out and fish!! For charter information or to book a trip call Capt.
