Late summer to early fall report.

San Juan River

The river flow was increased to 815-825cfs on 09/11/08. The water clarity is off with visiablity around 3 feet. The catch and release is still fishing good with a early midge hatch am, and a weak beatis hatch pm. Black and gray midges mainly with some olive thrown in early am. Golden nugget egg patterns also been working. Gray foam wings pm. Dry fly fishing has been ok with a large griffins knatt #16-12, dead chicken working when the midges are clustering. The cable hole area on down to the boat take out at the end of the quality waters have been on the same as above, but more beatis action, pheasant tails, fluff beatis and copper johns working. Dry fly action has been on #24 parachute adams when the beatis are coming off. Tight Lines to All, Mark
