PISCES WEEKLY FISH REPORT September 17th to 23rd, 2016 Overall Catch Success Rate All Species Combined 92% Numbers at a glance: Billfish 38%, Dorado 78%, Tuna 8%, Other 28% BILLFISH: For being September there were actually quite a few anglers in town this past week, despite hot and humid weather the fishermen venturing out were pleased with their results. Our catch rate for all species combined was 92% with just a few boats not catching anything. There was a pretty good mix on billfish with blue marlin, striped marlin and a couple of sailfish. The largest fish for us this week was aboard the 38 ft Blackfin C Rod, a 411 LB blue marlin caught at the Jaime Bank on the Pacific by David and Wayne Henson from Spring, Texas who also managed to land three dorado. This might have been one of the biggest fish, but probably the best day was had by Bill Collector on September 17th for the Penningtons from Texas, who managed to release a blue marlin, just shy of 200 LBS and then boat five dorado, an impressive 154 LB tuna, and two wahoo…..hard to beat a day like that.
