New Season

Lots of Ponds and lakes are still shut in with ice. Rivers, streams, and brooks are running high at this time in my area. Some small ponds are either or getting ice free. One of my local ponds that I fish is ice free and we are picking up brookies in the 8"-11" size. Also a brown or 2 have been caught. Live bait have been used and working OK. But small lures in gold have been working even better. Midges have been hatching hot and heavy so any midge or small streamer pattern should work well also. Good luck this spring and be safe.
