Mango's and Reds moving in

Anna Maria

Mangrove Snapper are making there way into the bay following the summer time hatch of sardines. Almost every piece of structure will have its share of fish. For whatever reason some pieces hold more and better quality of snapper. The seven mile reef off Anna Maria is working reel well right now. The only problem is getting the snapper up before a jewfish gets it. Inshore redfish are getting better with the rain showers flushing them out of the backcountry. I am having my best luck on reds on the upper stages of the tide around creek mouths and oyster bars. Most reds right now are running from twenty inches to twenty four inches. Good Fishing! Capt.
