Spring is knocking at the door with fishing patterns here in East Central Florida on the Indian River and Mosquito Lagoon. As the water slowly warms in the late winter jump starts baitfish and gamefish migration back to the north after wintering further south. Bait like glass minnows, mullet and pilchards included and game fish being Jack Crevalle, Bluefish, Ladyfish, Pompano, Spanish Mackerel. Our year round resident fish like Seatrout, Snook, Redfish, Black Drum, Mangrove Snapper and others also become more active with rising water temps. Surface activity also increases after a winter of most sea life hugging the bottom, add the spring shrimp run in the mix for more fish food, available live bait and surface attacks by the game fish makes spring one of my favorite seasons for local fishing. Long time regular clients from Ohio out with me recently, Carter with one of the fun Black Drum he caught and released ………….. {%image_id=70964%} Brent from Minnesota here for a winter Florida visit fished small lures slow and along the bottom catching Redfish and Seatrout …………. {%image_id=70965%} FUN FRIENDLY LIGHT TACKLE FISHING ADVENTURES Indian River and Mosquito Lagoon Backcountry and Flats Fishing CHILDREN ALWAYS WELCOME – FAIR PRICES Near Daytona Beach, New Smyrna Beach, and Orlando, East Central Florida CALL OR TEXT ME ANYTIME 386-689-3781 See my website https://EdgewaterRiverGuide.com Capt.
