Live Pogies Producing Reds and Specks We're catching some nice specks early in the mornings on live pogy and top water lures. These specks are ranging between 1 and 3 pounds, but are not in great numbers. They're still worth the effort for some good eating later. After 9 a.m. or so we are focusing more on the reds. They have been hanging around the grasslines on the flats and also on the dropoffs at the edges of the flats. Sunday we limited out within 30 minutes when we found a school of 26 inchers. Live pogy has been the key to catching the reds. Flounder are hanging around the points in their ambush positions. Live pogy work well on flounder, too. We are just throwing the pogy up current and letting the current take it past the point. If they are there they will let you know.
