Biloxi Mississippi Fishing - 250 White Trout & More In 3 Hours!

Today my clients were Donna Arrington, her daughter Peyton Montgomery, as well as Lisa Seep, and her son Jacob. {%image_id=11127%} This was to be a short half a day trip, so it was a run to one of my favorite oyster reefs that I had not fished in a while. {%image_id=11125%} Well it was a good call because once the anchor set and lines hit the bottom they all had fish on. For the next 3 hours it was non stop fish catching fun. {%image_id=11126%} These were really nice white trout, and they were devouring the fresh squid offering. {%image_id=11124%} However, later in the moring a lively menhaden suspended under a popping cork never had a chance, and the cork would plunge down within seconds of its landing. At one point Peyton asked if she coud try a candy Gummy Worm for bait, and I proceeded to thread one on her hook. Low and behold, she was soon reeling in a nice white trout. To prove it wasn't a fluke, well, she reeled in two more trout on the soft candy. The must have caught 100 croakers in the hot bite too, and 2 sharks, and a stingray added to the action. When it was time to go in they had 250 really nice white trout in the box, as well as a nice Spanish mackerel, and we picked up a nice tripletail on the way in. What can I say, just another fabulous morning of light tackle fishing here in south Mississippi. It was slick as glass out there, and made me think of those delicious Florida pompano prowling the barrier island's flats. The fish are here folks, and all I need is some anglers to reel them in.
