Today was a late trip in the afternoon, and the Back Bay of Biloxi was rough as a cob. But lately that's commonplace! Never the less, it was a time to find a few fish, and that's what we did. {%image_id=4192%} My two clients were Richard Kohler and Bob Brandt from Nebraska, and these two guys fished hard, even though they were bouncing around at the mouth of the bay. But their persistence paid off, and they managed to catch 2 flounders, 5 redfish, 2 speckled trout, 1 southern kingfish a.k.a. "ground mullet", and a nice black drum. Great guys to fish with made this bumpy afternoon a pleasure never the less. The sheepshead bite is really slowing down, probably because most are heading offshore to spawn. However, the sand sea trout a.k.a. "white trout" and ground mullet run is going strong, and on calm days they are there for the taking. Although these two species aren't large fish, on light tackle they are a blast and make excellent frying fish. Will receive my new 2170 Blazer Bay tomorrow so come join me on fishing adventures here in south Mississippi. Remember, life is short...let's fish! Regards, Capt. Robert L.
