Ran a trip last Saturday with the Zane Chapman group, and the guys boxed 10 fine Florida pompano at the barrier islands before sea sickness took a toll on one of the anglers. However, the bite was on, and could have been a 20 pomp day! {%image_id=12292%} Ran back inshore where the guys boxed a mess of white trout, a nice flounder, and a dozen or more black drum. Oh yeah, we got severely rained on back near the mainland, but the stuck with it and added the other fish to the pomp catch. {%image_id=12291%} Ran a trip on Monday with my regular client John Noel and his friend Jimmy Childres, and the winds were howling. Ran into the Tchoutacabouffa River where the men boxed 8 nice specks, as well as plenty of throw back reds and specks. Ran back down into the bay, and there the men hammered the black drum. By the time I pryed them out of the honey hole they had 38 in the box. Ran a trip today with Guy Almodovar and his son Randy, and they hammered the black drum right off the bat. Before we knew it they had 30 in the box. {%image_id=12289%} Decided to run to a white trout reef for a change of bite, and on popping corks the father and son duo quickly added 35 bice white trout to the mix. Needless to say, this family group had a blast! {%image_id=12290%} Weather hasn't been the best for running to the islands, but when it settles plenty of pompano and some redfish are there for the taking.
