With duck season ending on Sunday, well, it's back to fishing 24/7. {%image_id=7689%} Being a full-time guide I am ready to fish whenever you are no matter the time of day or weather. {%image_id=7615%} Here in south Mississippi there are plenty of protective bays, bayous, and rivers to fish for anyone that just hast to get out of the house. {%image_id=7616%} Our duck season was less than stellar, but managed to shoot a few divers, and pull out some banner hunts. The hunt of the season has to go to Grieg Oster and his sons Nick and Marcus. {%image_id=7618%} Limits of big redheads and greater scaups made this family group very happy, especially since Crieg had just flew in from time in Afghanastan. A magnificent welcome home hunt! {%image_id=7690%} Right now when weather permits excellent sight fishing for big redfish and black drum can be found at the barrier islands. {%image_id=7691%} Recently we hammered the big fish on 10-pound test in 2 to 3 feet of water, and these brutes provide exciting shallow water angling. {%image_id=7670%} In the bays black drum (some over 40-pounds) and sheepshead can be found, and a bite on specks in coastal rivers is available too.
