Took a great family group out today from Slidel, MS, and they had a blast fishing the Gulf Park Estates Reef for sand sea trout a.k.a. "white trout", southern kingfish a.k.a. "ground mullet", and some nice speckled trout thrown into the mix. The angling group consisted of Gene Head, his wife Debbie, and their grandson Brandon Head. {%image_id=5333%} The bottom fishing bite was hot on the shallow reef, and live croakers were sent back out on popping cork rigs to fool the nice specks. Action was hot all morning long, and a light northeast morning wind was devine. {%image_id=5332%} In total, a fine catch of 111 white trout and ground mullet provided non stop fish catching fun, and 7 nice specks were eager to suck down the live croakers too. {%image_id=5331%} A batch of small sharks are back in the Mississippi Sound, Spanish mackerel are showing up too, and bird fishing is available with specks, Spanish mackerel, white trout, and small bluefish feeding below. Hey, gather up the kids and let them enjoy some of this fine fish catching fun. It's a blast! So come join me for a fun filled day or half-day of light tackle fishing on the Mississippi Sound. Remember...life is short...let's fish! Regards, Capt. Robert L. Brodie of TEAM BRODIE CHARTERS
