Redfish At The Peak The reds are thick in the river and lakes right now. We often see a second redfish flanking the one being reeled in. We are catching easy limits on live cocahoes any time the tide is moving. Live bait is the sure way to put the meat in the box. Our sport fishermen are having a ball with topwater action also. It may take a little longer to catch a limit with top water plugs, but there is nothing like the suspense of seeing the red waking behind the walking plug just before he explodes on it. In several of our favorite spots we are seeing schools of 10" to 12" mullet jumping for their lives as some unusually big reds have moved in. These bigger fish are in the 15 to 18 pound range. Our normal size runs between 4 and 10 pounds. If you have ever wanted to experience the excitement of catching redfish now is the time.

Tight Lines,
