Pascagoula River, mississippi

Pretty Days, But Scattered Fish The past week has been a little slow. The reds are still in the shallows, but are not in schools. We'll catch one here and another there. They are running a nice size though...about 6 to 7 pounds. The specks are also scattered and biting a little slow. They are biting the cocohoe jigs best, but will also hit the top water early and late. This slow down won't last long. We are entering the spring run where we will be catching some good numbers of trout and reds both on the oyster reefs and in the marsh. That pattern should last through May.
Tight Lines,
Capt. Barry Brown
