Well, our boat is in the water again--spruced up and all fitted out with a brand-new Yamaha 250. We're rarin' to go--after four months of fishing in Florida--and we're eager for the return of warm weather to the Norwalk area. We'd been teased with some 80-degree days in the third week of April, but it's been very cold, rainy and windy here ever since. The only catch we've seen--or heard about from colleagues over the past couple of weeks--are some flounder and a smattering of very small striped bass hanging around the power plants. Once the sun comes out again the water temps will increase, and the baitfish will be attracted to local waters, followed by hungry striped bass and the perennial bluefish schools that everyone's been waiting for since last fall.
