New Mexico Fishing Report for The San Juan River

San Juan River

Hello Everyone, Due to lack of snowfall so far this winter, the Bureau of Reclamation will be decreasing the release from Navajo Reservoir from 500 cubic feet per second (cfs) to 350 cfs, at 9:00 a.m. on Tuesday, January 17, 2006. The release rate will be re-evaluated as inflow forecasts are updated. Releases are made for the authorized purposes of the Navajo Unit, and to attempt to maintain a target base flow through the endangered fish critical habitat reach of the San Juan River (Farmington to Lake Powell).   This scheduled release change is subject to changes in river flows and weather conditions.
