New Report Hello everybody, Fishing report 1/31/06 The current San Juan River flow is close to 350cfs. The river is off-colored with visibility of about 6-20". The river is fishing good. The days are getting longer and warmer. The beatis hatch has been best on cloudy days. Midges early am, beatis late am, midges late afternoon most days. This year has not been good for our snow pack, the reason the water flow was decreased from 500 to 350. Think Snow! Spring fishing will be good. The rainbows are on the spawn.. The main channel is still being over fished. The bottom line about fishing the main channel is be prepared too share. It is always crowed any more.. The fish are starting to move into the deep slow water, and the overall report is that the lower river us affected by cold night temps.
