We headed out at first light on New Years day looking to sight fish for schooling reds. It was a bit chilly getting off of the ramp but as we got moving down the river it really wasn't too bad. The water temperature dropped a few degrees which seemed to slow the fish down a little. We got onto our first school of fish just after we started poling and put the first fish in the boat by 6:45 am... first red of the year; I don't know for sure, but it would be hard to beat! We went on to catch 15 more over the next few hours and got back to the ramp early. Until next time, catch em up! Capt. Charlie
