Lot's of Water Now!! High winds, heavy rains and cool temps are forecasted for the next few days. My friend Tom Burke fished the river yesterday and was 2 for 3 until he was ordered off by the Fire Dept. Generally they never raise the water during daylight hours, but the water was spilling over the dam and they had to release it. 350 cfs to 4,000 cfs in a matter of hours. Yikes!! This will probably kick most of the dropbacks into the lake, but may bring in some browns and skamania steelhead. We won't know until the wtaer comes down. The Oswego Harbor is Red Hot right now for browns. The high colored water gets them real active and the bait will be packed in their as well as right off all the creek mouths. Fish the edge of the colored water and although we were trolling smithwicks in black and silver and black/silver/orange belly. The bright colors will be doing most of the damage now. Fishlander and R&R spoons in glow, frog, chartreuse and orange are working the best off the riggers. Troll 1.8 to 2.2 and don't troll in a straight line. Constant turns will produce more strikes! The walleye bite has beemn sensational somes night and nonexistent others. The strong currents wil move them around and I have to fish them most nights for the next week, so I will let you know. Go Get Um! Troy
