April 09, 2012

Today is Monday April 9, 2012. Perch are being taken in good numbers on the Oak at the point. Bluegill and crappie seem to have slowed down on Lake Alice due to the colder temperatures. Catches of Crappie on Glenwood Lake still seem to be fairly good although slowing somewhat. On Lake Ontario catches of Brown trout, Steelhead/Rainbow trout are very good along with good catches of Chinook salmon and some Lake trout are being reported. Fish are being taken from Green Harbor all the way to Troutburg with the best results coming from the edge of the mud line. Small spoons with Candy corn patterns 5' down and 50' back are doing well along with black and silver stick baits off the planner boards. Launch ramp docks are in on both the East and West side of Oak Orchard River and a good number of Charter boats are in and ready to serve you. Let's make everyday a great fishing day, right here in Orleans County.
