Today is Wednesday February 11, 2015. What follows one day of temperatures just slightly above freezing? The answer for us is 8 days back in the deep freeze. The ice on Lake Alice is thick enough to support a pickup truck to clear snow for the 4 wheelers to race. Even with that some Bluegills and Rock bass are being take thru the Ice. All of the smaller tributaries( Johnson, Marsh and Sandy Creeks) are frozen over as is most of Oak Orchard River. There is still some open water at the dam on Oak Orchard and as always some steelhead and brown trout are being taken. I'll be at the Harrisburg show until this Sunday, returning to the office Monday.
