Hot but no Doldrums in New York I have been busy doing some office work and neglecting the fishing. The North Shore is fishing very well. I fished out of a kayak a couple of days taking blues, bass and fluke on the fly. It is a cooler ride close to the water. John Grovenor did a great job fish in the Huntington Bay with me. He plugged blues and had a great shot at a beast of a bass in shallow water. I have been finding tons of school bass in tight structure on the fly. There are larger fish under the Bunker schools. We should see some Bonito on the regular points this week or next. The Long Island Bassmasters held a tournament on Whaley Lake on July 23. Brendan Cucciniello took the winnings home Get out there!
