OFFSHORE REPORT 8/16/09

We had an away trip aboard kevin's sweet 48' Viking for a day trip out to the dip area. We found plenty of life with birds,dolphins,whales and sharks in the area but no tuna. we trolled for hours only to have a green machine 's hook cut of by a Mako. We then decided to drift for tile fish. we had 5 nice tiles in an hour in 450'. they make a fine meal! Tuna fishing should pick up right where we left off last week.
