Today I had Ron, Tyler and Mandy on the boat from north Georgia. They fish with me every year and I look forward to next year. We started the day out in the St Simons Island sound looking for trout and redfish it was the top of the tide and the water looked great. First spot we got into some lady fish so we didn't stick around there to long before moving to the back of the sound. Next spot I think we hit a bonnet head shark family reunion they were everywhere and at on time we were hooked into 3 bonnet head sharks all of them about 3ft long at one time on light tackle it was pretty crazy to say the least. After hooking into a couple more sharks and moving around the trout started biting they were sitting off the marsh grass a little ways in 4-6ft of water over oyster beds. After fishing the sound for a while we moved back into the rivers where the water got a little dirty but not to bad. Once we got back in the rivers behind St. Simons Island we picked up more trout and 10 of them were over 18 inches and fat all trout were released all of them back into the water. Most of the fish back in the rivers were sitting in 8-10ft of water it was kind of dirty so we fished it slow and it paid off in the end. For more reports see my website at www.reelstokedfishing.com
