North Carolina inshore fishing has improved this last week with the flounder bite being around the sand bars and points in the back waters of the Cape Fear River.Red Drum bite has also getting back to normal for August with some upper slot red drums being caught along with fish in the 22" to 24" size.Speckle trout bite has been on live bait mostly,finger mullet drifting in the current along the banks has been good.My fishing reports have not been regular this season just because,I have been so busy fishing.I am expecting the fall fishing in the Cape Fear River backwaters to great.{%image_id=34631%}{%image_id=34630%}{%image_id=34629%}

Tight Lines,

Capt. Michael Dennis
