Water tempertures have dropped, live finger mullet have have almost disappeared from the area. Red drum bite for the slot size fish has slowed conciderable, there are still quite a few red drum to be caught they are mostly 14" to 16" fish being caught around the inlets. The winter time is upon us now anyone one looking to fish should pick the days that have light winds and moderate tempertures to enjoy a day on the water.Speckle trout bite has been at Masonboro Inlet but has not been consistant.Virginia mullet are being caught at the mouth of the Cape Fear River on fresh shrimp.
