Outer Banks summer fishing

Summer fishing has finally kicked into gear. On the inshore scene, the Speckle trout, Red Drum, and Flounder are in most of the usual spots. All are biting shrimp, squid, and my favorite, the Gulp swimming mullet. The Bluefish have been in and out depending on the water temperature, but that should get pretty solid soon. Near shore, the Cobia have been hit and miss, but any day it will be going crazy. Offshore, the Yellowfin tuna and Dolphin bite has been real strong. Limits of both have been caught by boats on several trips. There has been a few billfish caught as well, and that should only improve with rising water temperatures.{%image_id=33471%}
