01-16-2017  Having been working on a refit on the Yeah Right II for the up-coming 2017 fishing season and Capt. Butch being busy with the Saltwater Seminar Series and the shows and seminars coming up there hasn't been a whole lot of extra time for fishing. However, with the gorgeous weather this weekend and being the 3rd weekend in a row I've been asked if we can go fishing, today we found the time to try to catch a Speckled Trout or 2. The fishing began slow, and this time of year "slow" is the key to the bite, but as the tide began to fall Holly found her line come tight on the first Trout of the day; and soon after the second. Moving around a bit we came across several more bites that just didn't hook up and as the tide went slack the bite became non-existent. Speaking with other anglers it seems as if the fronts and temperature swings have not created a great Trout bite but if you fish slow and work areas that have deep water and structure hopefully you'll find a hungry fish or two as well! {%image_id=51891%}{%image_id=51892%}{%image_id=51893%}

Tight Lines,
