Today is Monday December 24, 2012. This Christmas Eve I'd like to wish every one of all faiths peace, happiness and good health. I'd also like to thank all of you who did the rain dance last week for sending us at least some rain that brought our water levels up somewhat. Now for this week could everyone please do the snow shuffle and do it a lot. With the increase of water levels in all of the tributaries within Orleans County to a moderate level and the fact that we have some stained water, fishing has been fair to good early morning and late afternoon towards evening. There are still some Brown trout being taken but the main fishery has been for Steelhead/Rainbow trout. Without some continued precipitation I'm not sure just how long this will last. The only other report that I have is that Perch fishing on the "Oak" is spotty all the way from the bridges to the point. Of course with the holidays traffic is low and reports are hard to come by. Let's make everyday a great fishing day, right here in Orleans County.
