We had the roy braun party out for a day of sharking. We had nice calm seas with winds N/W at 10 kts. We set up just north of a 20 fathom wreck and set up our chum slick and set out our baits. Within minutes we had blues invade the slick then they disappeared. We thought a shark might be in the slick. We see the deep bait get hit then we see a mahi jumping out of the water. It was on the deep rod. Jim made quick work of that 20 lb fish. Then we had a jack crevelle come in. We caught on a light spinning rod it weighed 10 lbs. Then after putting out a new can of chum we had a 30 lb mahi hit the short rod baited with mackeral. Nice bull mahi for such close inshore waters. No sharks came in we beat it out of there before the thunderstorms beat us up. A nice day on the water was had by all. P.s. We have openings this month and next for offshore and inshore trips if you want to get in on the action! Tight lines! Capt. Dennis FAIR CHASE II D. C.
