The cold winter killed most of our threadfin shad. As a result, most of the guides have been using shiners. The shiners have been working well with the absence of the threadfins. Most of the fish are being caught in deep water, 50 feet plus. Fish size has been up and down, with lots of smaller fish. The fish are starting to run, so, look for down-riggers and slabs to start producing in the next couple of weeks.
