Past week fishing trips aboard the Kingfisher

Long Island Sound

Bob Friemuth and friends did well catching some nice stripers on live bait then scored big on the hordes of blues in the race this past Saturday. Bobby T,s group got two 40+ pound bass and also got in on the bluefish action on Sunday. Don Luth came out Monday and couldn't find the stripers but did well on action with bluefish. Monday afternoon our mate Matt had some buddies do a trip and had a blast catching bass constantly throughout the trip. Most fish were up to 10 pounds with the occassional 15 pounder crashing the topwater lures. Tuesday morning Greg and Pete caught several big stripers in the 30 pound class, a bunch of blues, a three keeper fluke to 23 inches. Wednesday afternoon Richard Stone caught loads of small bass and blues on light tackle. Big schools of smaller fish have been chasing bait inside Fishers Island the past week.
