Hi Folks, Excellent fishing going on around and off of Wrightsville Beach. Water temps in the low 70's and southerly winds make for great fishing. Hers's my report: INSHORE: Plenty of reds and some good numbers of flounder. Live bait is plentiful. Artificials are working well too. Near Shore: Spanish and blues continue to offer themselves up to deep divers and clarkspoons. Cobia are around in the many schools of menhaden. Offshore: King mackerel are biting cigar minnows and deep divers for 7 to 25 miles out. Some bonito are joining in the fun. Gulfstream: A strong mahi bite is happening with some billfish being taken as well. Cape Fear River: Reds, flounder and trout are biting in the river. Live bait and artificials both doing well. Upcomimg: Look for the mahi to move closer to shore as the waters heat up. Larger flounder should come around soon. Until Next Time...LETS GO FISHING!!!
