Redfish and Trout still biting in the Everglades

Chokoloskee

With the water temperatures steadily rising back up towards the 70's, our winter fishing is getting back to normal. Fishing South on Wednesday around the river mouths we found plenty of redfish and black drum on the rising tide. Once the tide stopped, we ran out to a string of crab pots. Running the pots back to the North, we caught three tripletail under the buoys. Fishing on Friday and Saturday, I stayed with the same pattern. The results were the same, with limit catches of trout, redfish, and black drum. Thank goodness the water is warming up. Looking forward to Spring....
