Redfish bite on the rise in Port Royal Sound area

Beaufort

Redfishing has picked up in the creeks and flats surrounding Port Royal Sound. Have had several good Redfish trips in the last two weeks, with live shrimp under a popping cork being the main bait fished. We have a huge population this year of finger mullet, and they have worked well also. I have picked up a few Seatrout also the last few trips, so hopefully we will see catch rates go up in the near future. Tarpon are still in the sound area, and fishing for them should be excellent through September. The Bull Redfish from 20 to 40 pounds will also show up in deep holes on the rocks in Port Royal sound the next month.
