Fished several trips the past two weeks in the St Helena Sound area. With the water temps remaining in the mid 60's, the bigger Redfish on the flats remain somewhat scattered, with several smaller pods located. These fish are still feeding on shrimp on the flats, along with plenty of mullet. Cut mullet is an excellent choice currently, fished on Carolina Rigs with circle hooks. You just have to be a little patient once you have set up in an area where you are seeing fish on a regular basis. "Build the field, and they will come". Throwing a Gulp jerk shad in Molten color is also producing. These work very well when used with a flutter hook. Trout have been rather slow the last two weeks, but if you go, try some of the deep creek bends throwing soft plastics or live lining a live shrimp. Tight Lines, Capt Rick
