Reds on incoming snook on outgoing

Anna Maria

Fishing around the bay was mostly good this week as long as you could dodge the thunder storms. The redfish bite is getting better by the day. We stayed in one spot last friday all morning and caught reds the whole time. Most fish where in the twenty inch range with a few bigger fish at the top of the slot. All of the reds where caught on the incoming tide. Snook fishing around the big moon tides has been productive mostly for the smaller males but a few big females will still make the day interesting. Spanish mackerel are still in the deeper parts of Tampa Bay around the skyway and the passes. Good fishing! Capt. Rick Gross
