Report for Long Island Sound

Norwalk Islands

We stayed in port most of the week because of the hurricane-strength gusts, but we did manage a nice trip on Sunday, jigging up bass and blues at 11B. When we moved closer to shore and found a large school of bass on the surface; there was non-stop action for almost two hours. We caught more than 60, releasing all. The largest fish came in at 27". We plan to pull the boat this week, and we're finished fishing the Sound for 2003. I want to thank all of my clients for sailing aboard "My Bonnie" and to remind everyone that we'll be fishing with our bay boat for three months--January through March--in Sebastian, Florida. (All information and regular reports will be included on this site while we're in the Sunshine State.)
