Report for Naples, Marco Island and the Ten Thousand Islands

Marco Island

Post Noel This past week the fishing has been excellent. It kind of came as a surprise considering the foul weather that Noel produced. I am not one to complain. Shrimp under popping corks worked very well this week. I stayed in the back country through both phases of the tide for the most part. There were places that were producing small to slot sized snook on every other cast. Redfish were pretty good too. When the tide drained out later in the day at the end of the week, I was finding a few snook on the outside with redfish filling the gaps. Fish are definitely on the move and getting ready for winter. I didn’t get to fish near shore this week because fishing was so good in the back. I plan to diversify a little more this week. I will let you know how that goes. I’ll see you on the water.
