Maria, she's awesome and she brought her super cool friend Joe along for a full day of fishing the flats on fly and spin. Maria had the fly rod and Joe had the spinning rod and we were targeting bonefish. Well, we had a great time and using shrimp Joe hooked and landed 4 bonefish on her first time bonefishing. Wow! Maria armed with the fly rod was really happy for Joe and as the weather started to get a bit sketchy it finally happened for Maria. Cast, strip, strip, strip, "I'm on!"... I love that! The bonefish got her into the backing 4 times before the solid 8 pounder came to the side of the boat for a release. Well, Maria was done and Joe was cool with it so we headed in early to avoid the coming weather and end on a high note. Capt.
