Sight fishing slots..

Port Orange

With the water temps starting to drop, I've been keying in on the warmer parts of the day to fish. Sunrise and sunset have been a little slow. The snook and redfish bite has been really good in Spruce Creek past the railroad bridge. These fish are starting to push their way back into the creeks towards their winter homes. My advice would be to go back in the creeks until you see the tarpon rolling. There will typically be snook, reds, and trout in the same area as these rolling tarpon. Also, some nice pompano are being caught around the Dunlawton bridge on the outgoing tide. Small jigs are the best bet for these fish. There's also some really good snook action in the Edgewater and Oak Hill areas around the docks that were destroyed in the hurricane. {%image_id=56520%}
