Fishing was unchanged in destin typically the larger snappers were on the beach just before the season opened. And the 1st of july smaller fish remained average size fish 3 to 5 lbs. before june 1st average size 8 to 10 lbs. Using slip lead rig with 40 lb flourocarbon leader with just enough lead to get it down. Typically a 10 to 15 second drop found the larger fish hovering above the reef also a lot of 10 to 15 lb amberjacks inshore this year.
