The Cobia run has started in earnest in the Broad River. The flotilla is formed at the bridge trying to put one in the boat. Sight fishing has been a little slow this week as conditions have not been conducive to seeing fish on the surface. High winds have been the norm.Spanish Mackerel are also on the rips in the river, feeding on glass minnows. These early fish are normally the biggest we see all year. They are taking clark spoons and buctails trolled along the rips. They are also being caught on theadfin herring fished freelined behind a chum slick. I also got on a Ladyfish bite this morning, while throwing Mirrolures for trout.
