Redfish on the flats in Port Royal Sound
Beaufort, south-carolina
Rick Percy
January 12, 2012
Our warm weather has kept our water temps above normal for this time of year. We are still seeing mid fifties, and even warmer on the low water in the middle of the day. The Redfish are our main target now, and with the clear water conditions sight fishing on low tide has improved. Dead sticking a gulp has seemed to be the most productive on low, while they are taking mud minnows under popping corks on the higher water.
Tight Lines,
Capt. Rick Percy
