The last couple of weeks have seen a huge amount of bait pouring into our sounds and rivers. Both Mullet and Menhaden are extremely plentiful. And along with them come the Silver Kings. The Tarpon are easily identified as they smash the bait pods. And the Jack Crevalle are also in working the same bait pods. As I have had mostly families with small children lately I have been still targeting Redfish. The bite is only so so. Catching a few every trip, but not the quantity I like to see. Also had a good bite on the Spanish Mackerel one day and they dumped 15 in the boat in short order in the river. Lots of fun on Flex-it spoons.
