We are getting water now here into the Santee Cooper Lakes to help us out of our draught. The lakes have come up 24 inches in the last 20 days, 12 inches of the water in the last 36 hours. We are still about 24 inches low. Water temps have come up from 49 degrees to 60.2 today when I came off the water. We had no wind today so we trolled for 8 hours. Caught 12 fish with the 5 largest being 17, 23, 24, 31, 39 pounds each with total weight of 204 lbs total today. The fish from the water warming have moved up from 40+ feet deep to 25 feet deep on the sides of hills. Still cut shad is the bait preferred. Look for the active fish on the edges of the riverbeds and deep drops. www.captaindarryls.com
