Hi Folks, It is finally happening. The waters have warmed and for now calmed down. Not much rain in the forecast and the fish are chomping. Here's my report: INSHORE: Reds and black drum are the best targets with a few flounder showing up. Fresh shrimp and cut bait work best. NEAR SHORE: From the beach to the 5 mile areas, you can find blues, Spanish, bonito and some spring kings. Jigging and trolling spoons are the best methods. OFFSHORE: Kings are moving in and bonito and the large Spanish are biting too. Gulf Stream: Wahoo, mahi and blackfin tuna are biting. UPCOMING: More and more of the same. As things warm up a bit more, look for more flounder inshore. UNTIL NEXT TIME...LET'S GO FISHING!!! Capt. Rick Bennett 910-520-7661 www.rod-man.com www.custom-fishing.com [email protected]
