The dog days of summer have not had an effect on the outstanding fishery surrounding the Golden Isles. Sharks, tarpon, triple tails, sheepshead, whiting, redfish, trout and an amazing flounder bite have all been the norm. While many folks have worried about the lack of rain-and rightly so-it definitely has provided outstanding water clarity as well as broadening the range of our inshore species. Live bait and artificials have produced equally well. We have enjoyed a great amount of success with Berkley Gulp! soft plastics and Bomber Long-As. With September approaching, one of the best Bull Redfishing areas on the coast is about to fire up. {%image_id=22369%}
