It Is Tarpon Season Here In The Keys!!!! My very favorite time of year. Schools of tarpon have begun migrating up and down the ocean side flats and channel edges. They can also still be found in some of the back country basins. For some reason they seam more eager to eat the fly this year! But it is probably the weather. Water temperatures are in the mid 80's and the winds have been very light out of the south east. I have not been looking for them, but my friends that have, are finding good numbers of bone fish. also there are still some permit around on the flats as well..
