If you are into tarpon fishing now is the time.The bite at the Sunshine Skyway is going off. Some boats are reporting as many as fourteen bites in a mornings fishing! I have not got back out to the reefs in the last week because of high winds. Tuesday the twenty-sixth of April was the last time I got out in the Gulf. We still had a good kingfish bite with some really nice Mangrove Snapper. Inshore on the flats the trout bite is still good with some fish reaching the six pound mark. On the strong out going tides the snook bite picks up. Best fish this week was thirty-three inches. Good Fishing! Capt. Rick Gross
